On October 6th, Ben will begin teaching a year long after school guitar class at the 32nd St. School in South Central, Los Angeles as part of the USC Thornton Music Outreach Program.

Ben was recently selected to be a Student Senator in the GAMS (Graduate Association of Music Students) as part of the GPSS (Graduate and Professional Student Senate) at the University of Southern California.

Ben has been invited to perform at the 2008 September 11th Ceremony in New York City at Ground Zero. This is the second consecutive year he has been honored to play at the event.

Next summer, Ben has been invited back to be the Teaching Assistant for Guitar at the Aspen Music Festival and School in Aspen, CO from July 24 - August 23.

Ben received his Master's Degree from Juilliard this May and will begin his Doctoral studies at the University of Southern California with Scott Tennant of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet in August.
